Wix form spam: the setting moved into Automations
Wix moved this out of the form editor and into Automations. The recipient does not have to be a site collaborator, but it does have to exist as a contact.
Replace whatever is in that field with the address Humainbox generates for you. Nothing else changes: no plugin, no snippet, no DNS record, and nothing on your site to republish. If you want to stop, put your old address back in that field.

Why it is getting through
What Wix already stops — and where it stops
Two things send people looking for this page. One is the volume. The other is that the setting is not where it used to be, and searching the form editor for Notifications now turns up nothing at all.
The new Wix Forms ship a built-in spam filter with three levels, all of them ending in reCAPTCHA, and what it flags sits in a Spam tab for thirty days before being deleted. It is a reasonable filter for what it is aimed at, and what it is aimed at is whether the submission looks automated — not whether the message could have been sent to anybody.
What Wix keeps either way
In Forms & Submissions, whatever the automation does, and a contact is created in your Contact List at the same time.
We check the message itself
A captcha asks whether the sender is a machine. We ask whether the writing could only have been sent to you.
Nothing is deleted
Held mail stays readable in the panel for your whole retention window, and one click sends it on.
If we break, your mail still arrives
If anything breaks on our side, mail goes through. You get the noise back for an afternoon; you never lose an enquiry.

There is no Notifications setting in my form editor. Where did it go?
Into Automations, which is the honest answer to the most common search that lands here. Open Forms & Submissions in the dashboard, hover the form, choose More Actions → Set notifications, and it opens the automation behind it. Edit that automation, select the Send an email action, and the recipients are in its settings.
Does the address have to belong to a site collaborator?
No. Wix is explicit that you do not have to make somebody a collaborator to send them form notifications — the address does have to exist as a contact first, which takes a moment and no permissions.
Will submissions still show in my dashboard?
Yes, and so will the contact. Forms & Submissions records the submission when it happens and the Contact List entry is created at the same time; neither depends on where the automation sends its email.
Does routing the notification through an automation cost me anything?
The Send an email action draws on your site's email quota, which is Wix's own accounting and is the same whether that email goes to you or to us. Nothing about it changes because of the address.

Cannot find it on your Wix?
Menus move between versions, themes hide panels, and an agency may have built something on top of the standard one. Send us the address of your contact page and we will look at the install you have rather than the one this page was written about. A person reads it, and replies within a day.
And if the person who can change that field is not you, Humainbox writes to them instead — the field, the address, and nothing else to read.
